How To Land Clients

Landing clients is one of the hardest things to do.

It’s what most people struggle with when trying to scale their income.

But most people don’t struggle with sales, it’s getting engaged leads.

Of course you can run paid ads, but what if you prefer to do it organically?

Now it’s even harder.

But it’s the warmest way to engage people. So here is exactly how to generate engaged leads the right way:

1) Content + Profile

This isn’t some revolutionary idea, but most people still completely miss the important points.

Here is what you need to not look like a potato online:

  • Clean profile photo that shows your face

  • Bio that talks about goals you have for yourself and others

  • Content to back it up (start with growth and authority content, then you can move to personal content later)

Number of followers does not matter here, look like an authority whether your follower account says it or not.

2) DM

Now that you are posting consistent and good content you will gain followers.

After anyone follows you:

  • Click their profile

  • Look at their content

  • Send them a post that resonated with you with a genuine compliment

  • Engage in a conversation with them (use voice notes if you can after texting for a bit)

  • Then ask about their goals around what you help people achieve

  • Ask what roadblocks are stopping them from getting their

  • When the time is right and they are a good fit for you to help them - ask for a call to see if you can help (be upfront about your intentions, don’t surprise them on a call asking for a sale.)

Most people over complicate this step, just make new connections and you’ll find the right leads.

3) Sales Call

The sales conversation is similar to the DM’s, but with more depth, rapport, and nuance.

Here’s the key factors:

  • Clarify everything they told you.

  • Give them 2-3 actionable pieces of advice completely free.

  • Ask if they want to do it alone or if they want someone to help them guarantee they get the result.

  • Question through objections, you don’t need to be an expert at sales, just ask a lot of questions to help you understand them. That is what matters.

  • Once you break through all their self doubt, ask for the close again.

  • It’s as simple as, “are you ready to get started and solve this problem now?” Just ask for it.

This is everything you need to know to land clients for your business organically.

Anything more than this is just fluff and delaying execution.

This is what it takes when you have no followers, but when you have 10k+ followers the opportunities just come knocking at your doorstep.
