Why 99% Of Businesses Fail

99% of new businesses fail because they don’t treat their business, like a business.

In every business, you need customers to pay you money in exchange for something of value.

But most people focus on the:

  • Product

  • Branding

  • Marketing

Which are all good things, but it won’t make you money.

The one thing you need to focus on is sales, and here’s how you do that:

1) Leads

Leads are your front end traffic, these can be generated organically or with paid ads.

Both methods work, organic is just better for most people because it’s typically a warmer pool of leads who reach out.

If you have no leads do this:

  1. Go on instagram and post a story saying, “I am looking to partner with X number of people to help them achieve Y benefit without Z pain. DM me KEYWORD and I’ll reach back out.”

  2. Next send an email to your email list with the same message, put your subject line as “Hey, quick question”. Then include the same message as above with the CTA to reply with KEYWORD if interested.

Now you have some leads.

2) Setter

The next step is to get them on a sales call, to do this you need to “set” the call on the calendar.

To every inbound lead that reached out, follow this simple script:

  • Hey name, what had you interested in X benefit?

  • Next ask them about their goals. Where do you ultimately want to be with this?

  • Then ask what sticking points they have. What has been stopping you from getting there?

  • Finally set the call. We can definitely help you get benefit without pain, do you have a few minutes to jump on a call this week so I can show you how it works?

That’s it.

Set the appointment, always keep the ball rolling by scheduling the next steps.

3) Closer

The sales call is a little bit more tricky, but you can relieve any pressure by just asking questions and being genuinely curious.

In fact you are ahead of most people by simply doing this alone.

For extra guidance, you will be following the same framework as the setter, but digging deeper into their pains and desires.

  • Clarify what you know about their goals and desires, then ask further questions to dig deeper.

  • Clarify their problems and pains, then ask more questions to dig deeper.

  • Once you know their situation well and you know you can help them solve their problem, make the ask. “You said you are looking to achieve benefit without this pain. I can help you do that, would you like me to show you how it works?”

  • Now that you asked permission to show the way, you can go over your offer and close. Always be asking if everything makes sense and they are following so you know they aren’t completely lost. Then you can just say, is there anything else you’d like to cover before we get started?

I know I break it down simply here, but I actually have a full sales masterclass in my course curriculum here: https://theartofcontent.carrd.co/

This info is only as valuable as the action you take, so go make some money with this framework.
